Still Kickin’

Lesson learned. If you’re going to do this photo blogging thing, stay on top of things! Several destinations and several thousand photos over the past eight months, I have a daunting mountain of catching up to climb.

To the friends and family who have been asking ‘Where are the photos from X?’, progress is (slowly) being made. Unless there is an abundance of Whistler powder days, my goal is to get through it all by the end of 2014. For the non social media savvy folk (Hi auntie T!), there is always my more immediate but pixely challenged Instagram feed. In the meantime, here are a few favourites from the backlog.

Philippines

With the same crew from HK, this was the next destination. Sun, beaches, tasty food, and Kim’s friends & fam were the highlights.

Singapore

Parting ways with the HK/Philippines contingent, I headed off to the land of insane theme parks, wine fairies, delicious hawker’s markets, business on steroids, and amazing hosts Jenn & Dave! Singapore is certainly worth a stop.

Chilli & pepper crab

NOM. Ready to eat the chilli & pepper crab. The chairs match the parking stall paint, how swank can you get?

Japan

A contrasting adventure — like double-fisting coffee and beer — from the organized chaos of Shibuya to the serenity of the ‘Japanese Alps’ (Mount Tateyama).

London and Scotland

My most recent adventure this fall, reconnecting with the British roots, often through a cocktail glass with my lovely partner in crime. London’s energy and blend of old and new pulled me in. The raw beauty of Scotland didn’t disappoint but I could have done without the torrential rain and gale force winds.

Glecoe, Scotland

Glencoe, Scotland. It is magical.

I must thank James Christie and his amazing Edinburgh Photography tour for the awesome framing tips for the next shot.
