What’s Next?

Barely back from my last adventure, still sporting the mountain beard, the hamster wheel is already turning for the next destination. With each new skier I met on this trip, I was exposed to new possibilities and new destinations based on their experiences and the stories they had been told by others. It was like being plugged in to a network of ‘ski possibility’. Many of the places I’d never heard of before. Some I’d read about; it was nice to have confirmation that they were worth the trip. The rest, I hadn’t considered as ski destinations.

In no particular order, the short list:

  • Gulmarg, Kashmir
  • Tateyama, Japan
  • Southern Patagonia Ice Cap, Argentina
  • St. Anton am Alberg, Austria
  • The French/Swiss Alps – La Grave, Verbier, Chamonix, etc
  • Troll Peninsula and the fjords near Isafjordur, Iceland
  • Isfjorden, Norway
  • Antarctica
  • Morocco

Time will tell what makes the cut. If anyone is thinking of skiing those destinations and looking for people to go with, get in touch! For now, I’m hoping for a good 2013/2014 season in BC.

It’s also time to get the hamster wheel rolling on a new business idea, a new venture, preferably something game changing.

Finding the right balance will be key.
